It's always a good idea to warm up before you start running. The warm up prepares your body for the work ahead and helps you remain injury-free. I always start with the inchworm, followed by bottoms up. I find these open up my hips, and prepare my hamstrings and ankles for movement. Next, I add some walking lunges, high knees, butt kicks and soldiers. To wake up my core, and to get a bit more mobility in my toes, I also add in a few planks.
